The drive up was awesome, though if you're coming from ha giang, brace yourself: it's about 5-6 hours over rough terrain. I thought it was amazing, it's Vietnam after all. 🤗⛰👌🍀 The place itself is nice, and the owners are helpful, but they don't speak English, so we used Google Translate. They serve good vegan food, though it's quite expensive and not for budget travelers. The dorm beds are okay and the sheets are warm. The bathroom has no water pressure. I liked the location, but it didn't feel genuine to me since the whole neighborhood seems designed for tourism.

The family who run this homestay are lovely and help with everything. The mountain view is beautiful, and while the rooms are basic, they're nice and clean. Roads from Sa Pa are very bumpy, but the trip is worth it. I'd take a taxi rather than a motorbike. The food is delicious, especially the family dinner they cook themselves. Breakfast includes banana pancakes and a vegetable omelette. It's a great mix of relaxing and trekking around the area near Sa Pa. You can go on your own or with a guide from the homestay, and motorbikes are available to rent.

We meant to stay just one night and ended up staying three. The family dinner was really nice, and this place worked well as a base for the waterfall and Tan Va hikes, plus scooter trips around the region.

The mountains are beautiful, and we really enjoyed the four nights we spent here. The host family were lovely, thanks for everything! The mountain roads are bumpy, though, and that’s not the hotel’s fault.
