Breakfast was a treat each morning, and we slept so well in the comfortable bed. The homestay sits in a quiet village with good restaurants nearby and some of Sapa's best hikes close at hand. We spent three wonderful nights with Zolly and her family. The rooms were lovely and the valley views were stunning, even with the fog during our visit. I only wish we'd had more time there, and I hope we can return.

We stayed five nights in early May, and the lush grounds and private, nicely decorated bungalows made it easy to settle in. Breakfast was included, and we loved sitting with the views each morning. It was simple to get a Grab into town, and there were walking and trekking routes nearby. Thanks to Zolly and the team for making us feel welcome. We'd love to come back.

The quiet was striking at night, especially after four weeks in busy cities. Our bungalow was cozy, the beds were very comfortable, and coffee on the porch overlooking the valley became part of each morning. We ate every breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant during our five nights. The fresh, comforting food had so much flavor that we didn't feel like eating elsewhere. Ms. Zolly greeted us with a smile and made us feel at home from the start. Staying at Sa Pa Farmer House was one of the most peaceful parts of our Vietnam trip. It is a lovely place to slow down, enjoy nature and local culture, and relax. We liked being away from the tourist crowds and experiencing the quieter side of Sa Pa. We spent time among the nearby rice terraces and in the local village, seeing the scenery and daily life. One afternoon, we also got to learn H’mong beeswax batik, which was meaningful and memorable. We're grateful for our stay and would recommend it to anyone hoping for a peaceful, authentic Sa Pa experience.

The nearby hikes have beautiful views of the paddy fields, and there is a local village market as well. Our room felt local, with Hmong decorations, and was clean and comfortable. For the price, it was good value. Ms Zolly was attentive to what we needed, and there are activities such as a Batik workshop. There wasn't a halal breakfast option, though a vegetarian one was available. Before we left, we were given a cute handmade gift. I'd recommend staying here when visiting Lao Chai.

Zolly was a lovely host, spoke very good English, and helped me arrange a brilliant private trek. My local guide showed me the villages and explained everyday life there. Batik and massage are among the other activities available. The room was nice, with batik decor, and the bed had a net over it. It kept most bugs out. I also enjoyed the restaurant, where I had lovely breakfasts and dinners, with a good vegetarian selection. It's about 4-5 km from the city, a reasonable middle ground. The area was fairly peaceful, though if you want somewhere really quiet and rural, you'd need to go farther out.
