Viet Flower Hotel Sapa

The hotel’s location isn’t ideal, with not much around it, though being on a tour made that okay for me. I liked the food every time, and the waiter took care to lay out the plates, bowls, and utensils nicely. For a budget hotel, the room had good equipment. There was fresh air, but bikes passing at night could make it a little noisy.

We ate well, and the amenities felt like great value for the budget. What really made the stay, though, was how helpful the staff were. They arranged trekking tours and motorbikes for us, and gave directions for places in town and further out that we could visit by bike. I'd definitely come back to Sa pa if I get the chance.

We spent two nights here after booking a Sa Pa trip through Lavender Hotel in the Old Quarter in Hanoi. The room smelled musty at first, but turning on the AC soon sorted that out. On arrival I wasn't sure about the hotel, but the attentive staff won me over. The food was great and there was plenty of it, and both guides on our separate trips spoke very good English and were great. The tours were tough going, though we met lovely people, and the Homestay we stayed in for one night was faultless. Before our sleeper train back to Hanoi, they even let us use a room for a quick shower.

We came to Sapa on a package tour and hadn't known about this hotel beforehand. I really liked the surroundings and the food. The room was spacious and clean, and the receptionist and other staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke English well and were good cooks too.
