Sapa Vista Hotel

The family running Sapa Vista made our holiday much easier. They arranged our Hanoi transfer, tickets for the full Fansipan itinerary, and a trip to Catcat Village, all for reasonable costs. Of the locals we met during two weeks in Vietnam, they were the kindest, always smiling and ready to help. Mr. Loan, Mr. Quyet, and especially Mrs. Toan were so welcoming. We booked a triple room and a double room with mountain views over the December 2025 holidays. Fog and 2-degree weather meant we couldn’t enjoy the views, but both rooms and their bathrooms were spacious. Mūa Cafe was cozy and the coffee was good. We’d strongly recommend them to friends and family.

The hotel sits lower on a slope, so getting to the square means walking uphill. It’s a little away from downtown, which also makes it quieter and less crowded. We were on the fifth floor, and the mountain view matched the photos. Breakfast was included as a buffet, and the kitchen served drinks until 10 pm. Staff were attentive and tried their best to speak with us in English. It was a pleasant stay that met what we expected from a 3-star hotel.

There’s a Michelin Star Chicken Pho Place just a minute away, and I’d highly recommend it. The hotel is also close to the weekend Night Market, handy if you’re shopping for affordable clothes and shoes. Our room was clean and the bed super comfortable. It felt like a home away from home, in a semi luxurious hotel.

The view from our mountain-facing room was stunning, and the price still worked for a budget stay. The receptionist was friendly and spoke decent English, so she was easy to ask for recommendations. They also rent motorcycles at a very affordable rate. The furniture and hotel can seem old fashioned, but everything was clean. 10/10, I’d recommend it for the view.
