Kennal Beach

Waking up to the waves from our ocean-view room right on the beach was so peaceful. The quiet village by the sea was full of welcoming, friendly locals, and leaving on our last day was incredibly hard. We spent five nights at Kennal Beach Hotel, and it was one of the most memorable parts of our travels. From arrival in the quiet fishing village of Hoa An, the hotel staff and locals greeted us with such genuine warmth that the place immediately felt special. The staff, manager, and owner were extraordinarily kind and generous. They showed us around the area and shared the best places to eat and explore, caring for us like family. That kind of sincere hospitality really touched us. Highly, highly recommended for a peaceful stay with heartfelt hospitality in Vietnam.

The village had been hit hard by storms in early January, and there was a serious litter problem. The beach wasn't really usable, and the hotel's pool was empty. There also isn't much within walking distance, so you'll need transport to other towns for restaurants, shops, or entertainment. The hotel did cook great locally sourced food for us when we asked. I have to give this hotel five stars for the staff's warmth and friendliness. Thai and the team welcomed us with open arms, and it felt more like a homestay than a hotel. This was a memorable stay. During our three weeks traveling through Vietnam, this was the most beautiful place we found. There's a lovely beach right in front, plus another incredibly beautiful, secluded beach just a ten-minute walk away. Our balcony had a gorgeous ocean view. The homestay staff were so friendly and cooked wonderfully. Manager Chi Vi took great care of us. A real hidden gem, and we had a wonderful time.

The home looks stunning once the lights come on in the evening. It's a cozy space, and the outdoor dining area feels really romantic. Just right for couples!
