Sunflower Hotel

The main issue for me was how much noise carried into the room. We could hear things from every direction, including sound coming through the stairway. A tour bus group arrived at 10pm and woke us up. It sounded like they were screaming right outside our door. The following day, construction at 10pm was very loud too. There were a couple of room issues as well. The beds weren’t especially comfortable, and the sink drain cover was stuck when we checked in, so the sink wouldn’t drain. Maintenance fixed it quickly after we reported it. The rooms were clean enough. Reception was very nice, and all the staff were friendly. Motorbike rental is available, which is handy, but the bike has to be parked in a garage. Sometimes we had to get someone to open it for us, even in the middle of the day. It’s a cheap hotel, so you get what you pay for, and I can’t complain too much. Still, I wish they’d improve the soundproofing.

The hotel is just around the corner from the beach, maybe a 10-20 minute walk. Location: 5/5. Breakfast was boring on the first day. On the second day there was a buffet, but people were pushing past like the food was about to run out 😂🤣. Service: 4/5, Staff: 4/5, Overall: 4/5. When I got to my room, the floor felt DIRTY, and one of the two glasses hadn’t been cleaned.

My family loved the room on the 7th floor, with its great view over the town and sea. It also had a living room separate from the bedroom. The receptionist’s customer service was spot on, and the hotel offers motorbike rentals too. It’s an absolutely amazing place, even if it may not be a 4 or 5 star hotel.

The room was spacious, with a good view, and the beach is just a short stroll away. A nice, clean hotel with better service than I expected.
