Phat Loc Hotel

No second visit for me. The service was very poor: my husband had agreed on the price and deposit, then my mother-in-law demanded a higher price before renting. Avoid this place, folks. Go to Cam Binh, opposite the clean room, nice owner, very cheap price.

We went Monday and Tuesday, August 12 and 13, and paid 200-300k per room. We stayed from around 1pm the first day until after midnight the next day; I don't know what the weekend price is. We were six people in three rooms, and asked to be on the same floor. Two rooms had two large beds each, and one had a double bed. The view varies by room with a window, but looking out you mostly see the building. There are lots of food stalls and convenience stores nearby. The bathrooms were clean and had toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel, and large towels. Rooms had air conditioning and a fan. The location is near Vung Tau back beach.

The owner was friendly and the price was reasonable. We were there as a couple, and the room was pretty good, though ours didn't have a hairdryer. I don't know if the other rooms do. I hope the hotel adds one, since it's really uncomfortable to come back from swimming at the beach without a hairdryer. The hotel is near the beach, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around.

The room was okay for the price, and the beach is only 150m away. But the fridge was filthy, like it hadn't been cleaned in 20 years. The tiny triangular sink was pressed against the wall and looked made for a child. I could barely fit my elbow in and dropped my toothbrush while putting toothpaste on it.
