The beach was a five-minute walk away, and I could easily walk to the town center too. I stayed for a week and found the room spacious and comfortable, with daily cleaning. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the value for money was excellent. I’d definitely stay again.

I found the hotel through google and spent three nights there. It was clean, good value, and housekeeping cleaned my room every day. Reception didn’t speak much English, but that wasn’t a problem. There are lots of food places and the beach nearby, and I’d stay there again.

After six days here, I was happy with the room and thought the staff were superb. The WiFi was decent enough for streaming movies. The water wasn’t always hot, but it wasn’t cold either, somewhere between warm and cold. There are better options for restaurants, pubs, and shops on the west side, but they cost a lot more. It’s a 20-30 minute walk or 17,000 by Grab scooter. I don’t understand people complaining that staff don’t speak English well. Where do you think you are? Do hotel staff in the US speak Vietnamese? The last place’s laundry ruined two of my shirts, and the staff here got me a steam gun to remove the wrinkles, thanks. They don’t have laundry on site, but they arranged for mine to be picked up and done the same day. For the price, it was great.

The manager was unpleasant to me, and the hotel is in a very run-down part of Vung Tau. The lift wouldn’t go down to the basement, and reception staff didn’t speak good English. WiFi was weak, there were hairs on the bed and towels, and the showers were cold on at least two of the four days I stayed last year. They weren’t hot every day either. My experience didn’t match the other reviews.

I stayed six nights. The hotel was clean and in a good location, but the service made the stay difficult, and the price didn’t feel right for what was offered. It isn’t expensive, but it also isn’t cheap for this area, where there are many other options. When we needed something, the answer was always an unreasonable no. I have a neck problem and asked for two extra pillows. They refused, saying the hotel doesn’t provide extra pillows, though they would give me one as a courtesy. We also needed laundry done during our long stay. The hotel offered no laundry service, and nobody tried to help us find one. In 27 years of traveling in Vietnam, across 131 visits since 1996, this was the first hotel I’d encountered without laundry service. We also wanted to rent a motorbike, but they said we had to leave our ID with them. I worried about being stopped by police without it. They said I could call them, which would mean waiting for them to come if I was stopped. That made no sense. Worse, they told me every hotel requires your ID to rent a motorbike, which isn’t true. I’ll probably try another hotel next time I’m in Vung Tau. There are plenty of options, so you don’t need to stay here.
