Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a hotel, absolutely delicious, though I’d have liked a few more Vietnamese dishes. Dinner at the hotel tasted very good too, but was a bit expensive. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the pool area was a great place to swim and relax. We had a lovely time and would happily return. The shuttle to Saigon was a convenient bonus.

The buffet breakfast could have had more Vietnamese choices compared with the Western food. Still, this is one of the best resorts I’ve stayed at in Vietnam so far, with great facilities and good value for the price. The staff were really friendly and ready to help with almost any request. I’ll definitely come back to try other facilities from the company, like Ixora.

The rooms didn’t feel as clean as we expected. There was a damp, musty smell around the bathroom, with visible buildup in corners and crevices, which took away from the sense of luxury. The gym also seemed small and basic for a resort this size, and restaurant choices were limited. We booked three sea-view rooms, including one with a balcony. The views were beautiful, the facilities well equipped, and the breakfast buffet very good with lots of variety. The grounds are large, impressive, and clean, with neatly trimmed greenery, making them nice for a relaxing walk. The outdoor pool was spacious, clean, and great for swimming, and the beach was quite nice too.

The main drawback was the long walk from the check-in counters near the entrance to the room. It could be a nuisance if you’re tired after a long drive from HCMC. The room itself was new, spacious, and well lit with both natural and artificial light. The bed was comfortable, and the bath and toilet were designed thoughtfully so two people could use them at the same time.
