Fatumaru Lodge Port Vila

We spent a week in Vanuatu and really enjoyed our stay at Fatumaru Lodge. It was lovely to have breakfast each morning on the pool deck, and we made use of the kayaks in the bay. I enjoy swimming in open water and felt safe swimming there. Our room was clean and comfortable, right on the waterfront, with a balcony where we could relax and watch the sunset. The lodge sits on a lovely part of Fatumaru Bay, close enough to walk to the main centre, with plenty of good restaurants and cafes nearby. There was a problem with the hot water system, but it was fixed promptly. Flowers, champagne, and sweets were left in our room with a note apologising for the inconvenience. Thanks to everyone at Fatumaru Lodge.

My upper-floor unit faced the water and was spotless, with great air conditioning and wifi. The pool was amazing, and there was plenty of free beach gear to borrow. They even offered free sunscreen, a nice sign of thoughtful service. A spectacular boutique hotel, very well managed.

The Seafront Studio at Fatumaru Lodge was just what I needed for a proper reset. It was peaceful and helped me slow down and unwind. The air conditioning was great, the studio comfortable, and the bed was perfect after long, lazy days. My routine became sleep, eat, drink, swim, repeat, and that suited me fine. I loved having coffee while looking out over the water at sunset. It was so still and calm, the kind of quiet you don't realize you need until you're there. Breakfast was generous and satisfying, and the pool was refreshing for cooling off during the day. If you want a relaxing place in Port Vila that's close to things, Fatumaru Lodge is a go-to.

It's right on the water, with crystal-clear water and turtles. They lend you kayaks and paddle boards, and there's a friendly little cat I used to give milk. You can easily walk into town for shops and restaurants. Perfect location.
