Mariner Apartments

The view of Iririki Island was great. It’s in a wonderful central spot in Port Villa. I’d have given five stars, but there was a small issue in the bathroom.

I spent a week here in November for work and really enjoyed it. The balcony and lovely view were great, and the place is close to everything. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen and bathroom were both good. Staff were lovely, and communication over WhatsApp was quick and helpful. I’ve stayed at a lot of Port Vila hotels, and this is now a favorite. I’d recommend it for work or a holiday.

The apartments were very clean and had everything we needed to cook. Staff were friendly and helpful, and town, supermarkets, and restaurants are an easy walk away. A great place to stay.

We spent a month at Mariner apartments, from mid February to mid March, as five women in our twenties from the UK. The staff were always around and so friendly and helpful that we felt at home. Having staff on site, including security overnight, was reassuring, and Elliot was responsive whenever we had questions. The apartments were spacious and well equipped, with lovely views over the sea and Iririki. We made good use of the balcony. The main road below was a little noisy during the day, but we never noticed it indoors. Staff cleaned the rooms three times a week, and we often had the pool to ourselves. After the earthquake, Port Vila town was still closed, but there were plenty of nice restaurants and a few bars nearby. The bus service was easy, convenient, and cheap. A large supermarket was a 5-10 minute walk up the road, and several beach resorts were within 15 minutes. We also really appreciated the staff arranging flowers, cake, and a card for one of our birthdays by coordinating with a family member. We can’t recommend Mariner’s enough and hope to return.
