The rooms feel a bit dated, but the location in town is excellent for visitors to Port Vila, whether you’re there as a tourist or for work.

I stayed one night and was pleased with it. It’s basic, but clean, with comfortable beds, a good-sized room and very friendly staff. There’s a large supermarket just 100 metres away, and a bus to central Port Vila stops out front. It’s wheelchair friendly and kid friendly, with plenty of parking. I’d recommend it.

The owners are kind and really look after your interests. This was my second stay, and I’ve recommended the place to family and friends. It’s a delightful spot, with excellent facilities, good housekeeping, and the town nearby. A large supermarket is only 100 metres away.

I’ve been back to Kaiviti a number of times over the last 10 years, and the current management is very good. My room was clean, well serviced, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The refurbished pool and big gazebo/nakamal with its bar and restaurant are handy. Meals are basic but good value, and the rates are reasonable. It’s convenient for transport, NGOs, car hire, Au Bon Marche, downtown and the market house. Road noise could be an issue. A fan is fine in the dry season, but for summer, December to February, I’d definitely upgrade to air conditioning. The basic room is perfectly usable, leaving more money for tours and restaurants. You can also pay a small fee to use other resorts, or eat there and swim for free. It’s secure at night and up high from tsunami risk. The laundry is very convenient if you’re staying a while.
