It felt like home. My partner and I spent 10 days at Lagoons Gardens and enjoyed every bit of it. Morgan and Annie looked after us so well, and we loved their island dog, Rocky. Breakfast each morning was delicious, with a view over the Lagoon. Annie’s daughters are lively and cheeky, and kept us laughing. If you want a peaceful, relaxing place to stay, we can’t recommend Lagoon Gardens enough. Thanks so much, lovely people!

It’s quiet here, away from the bustle, but still close to essentials and to what I thought was the island’s most beautiful end. As a solo woman travelling, I felt safe thanks to the owner, his lovely wife and their wonderful family. They helped me when I needed it during a not-so-great time in the city. I’ll always remember their kindness, hospitality, and real care for the local people and environment. This hotel is run by a local family, so the money stays with them and the community and helps it improve. Please book directly so the money stays in Vanuatu.

Such a beautiful place, with a lake out back where you can swim, snorkel or kayak, as well as a pool. The owners were lovely and incredibly helpful. They gave us loads of information and made our trip easier. Breakfast was delicious too. This hidden gem is a great place to stay, and I’d definitely recommend it. I’ll be back!

We spent 10 days here and had a fantastic time. Lagoon Gardens is family owned and run, with lovely hosts who welcomed us into their home and made us feel like part of the family. Morgan and Anick were always willing to help with questions about the area, and the staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. It’s a more private place than a huge resort where you’re just a room number, with magnificent tropical gardens around you. The hosts and staff were so friendly and welcoming, like Vanuatu people generally. The property is on the water, with a pool, a continental breakfast over the water, and a BBQ for self-catering. Port Vila is about a 15-minute bus ride away, with markets and duty free. You can get to everything easily, while still choosing to keep to yourself. For me, it’s the perfect mix of a happy atmosphere and lovely people. Miss you already.

Morgan’s help made a real difference while we were in Port Vila for a mission project. He lent us his tools, and we were grateful for the extra effort and the friendly service. The rooms were comfortable, the setting by the lagoon was lovely, and having breakfast there was a great start to each day. We had a fantastic stay at Lagoon Gardens and highly recommend it.
