Insel Fehmarn Hotel

I’ve kept coming back to Insel since it opened, on trips to the South Pacific for meetings and for weekend getaways from Pago. The staff are attentive and outstanding, and the rooms are clean and affordable. I’ll keep staying here.

Our family had a great time here, and we hope to stay again for a few nights when we return. The rooms are simple but have what you need, and it was a good-value choice for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room service team was lovely. My kids liked the breakfast each morning, the pool, and the restaurant food. There’s a laundry on site. You’ll need to get tokens from reception and bring your own powder. Shops are only a few minutes away across the road, with the best pizza spot right next door. There’s also a bus stop out front for going into town. The hotel has an airport shuttle too, which you can book at the front desk. Thanks so much for the lovely hospitality.

Insel Fhmarn has become my home away from home. I’ve been to Samoa many times over the past 20 years and stayed at several major Apia hotels and some well-known Samoan resorts, but Insel is my favourite place to stay. It’s close to central Apia, while still far enough out to get away from the bustle. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and a ceiling fan that work well in the Samoan climate. The modern self-service laundry is a real time-saver on holiday. The staff are especially helpful. On our last trip, five different staff members offered to carry our bags to the car as I walked from the room. Whenever I’ve asked for something, they’ve been genuinely willing to help. I can’t wait to return to Samoa and see them again.

I stayed for a whole month, and the team were accommodating and helped my partner and me with everything we needed. It’s about a five-minute drive from town and just around the corner from the main hospital. Robert Louise Stevenson museum and track are about five minutes away by car, and Mynas supermarket is another five minutes on. It’s an affordable, great hotel, and I’ll definitely be back at Insel on my next Samoa trip. Audrey 😊
