Karl's Getaway Hotel and Tours

The people here are lovely, and the accommodation is good. The service was so good, we’d recommend it. They arranged an airport shuttle and organized a rental car for us. When we had trouble with a flat tire, they picked us up and got us home within 10 minutes, without adding any extra charges. Even locals know the place.

Karl’s local knowledge made a big difference to our stay. He arranged affordable trips around the island and to Savai'i for guests at Karl's Getaway and Lynn's Getaway, and we saw much more of Samoa than we otherwise would have. The facilities were good too: there’s a pool, a shared TV room with lots of movies, and free buffet breakfast each morning at Lynn's Getaway. The location worked well for Mai Gym classes, nearby restaurants including Italian and vegan options, Lynn's supermarket, Robert Louis Stevenson museum and TTM hospital. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I had a fantastic six weeks at Karl’s and will miss the food. Breakfast and Sunday lunch were free, and the staff were friendly, supportive and ready to help. They also ran weekday shuttles to some local sights, sometimes dropping us at work on rainy days, and organized tours around Samoa. The room was much better than I expected, well furnished and with air conditioning. It had nearly everything you need, including a kitchen. I strongly recommend staying here, you’ll enjoy your time.

Karl and the team looked after us so well that we felt at home throughout our stay. The room had everything we needed, and it made a great base for exploring Samoa. Karl organized lots of amazing trips at very cheap prices, and the place offered much more than just a hotel stay. I’d definitely recommend Karl's if you want to see Samoa and get a feel for Samoan culture.
