I never enjoyed dinner or breakfast during my stay at Bay View. Dinner was buffet style, with just three dishes to choose from, and breakfast was never served on time. The facilities were in very bad shape, and the staff seemed unprofessional. The photos on the website are old. I wouldn’t recommend this resort unless they renovate the fales and improve their service.

The place feels closely connected to the local community, which I loved. Our fale looked out over the beach, and the caring staff took good care of us. It would be my first choice for a future trip to the Big island.

We had a great stay in a nice bungalow room with two beds and its own deck. The lagoon view was awesome, and it seems like a lovely spot for families, with the turtle swimming place not far away. Looking forward to returning.

We couldn’t find any staff to tell about the water problem, and the bathroom facilities were very bad. There was so little water that I never showered there. The beds were uncomfortable too. All the other hotels were fully booked, so we had no choice but to stay.

The people were lovely, the food was great, and the fales were comfortable. The bay water was shallow and muddy, since the opening to the sea is a long way from the fales. You can’t walk to the beach or a shop from here.
