Hotel Edi Imperial

I went with my colleagues. The bathroom was in bad condition, the bed was damaged and the pillows were too, and the breakfast room was in very bad condition.

The hotel is right in the heart of Prizren, near the river and main road, and the views from all around it are great. The rooms could use some restoration, but the price, service and location make up for that. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty to choose from. Our room had a smart TV, plus free coffee and tea. There’s also a designated smoking area. I’d definitely recommend it.

The room was tiny, with a fan that was supposed to work like air conditioning. It was 30 degrees outside and 35 inside, with no way to cool it down, while the staff acted as if everything was fine. The shower head was broken and there was only cold water. There were holes in the floor panels, and the broken window wouldn’t close. Across the way, loud music went on until 3 am, along with cars, loud motorcycles with popping mufflers, and horns. We also got stuck in the elevator. Nobody responded to the alarm bell, and we spent 20 minutes in a cramped, very hot and stuffy lift before anyone noticed. Run as far as you can.

We didn’t stay overnight, just came for lunch. We had soup, chicken filet and meatballs with salad and sides of rice, potatoes and sauce. The trileche cake for dessert was delicious. Lunch was really good, though maybe we were just very hungry. The hotel is well located, not far from the iconic Stone Bridge, with the historical Sinan Pasha Mosque also within walking distance. After eating, we walked by the river to enjoy the view, then went to the mosque for prayers. A good experience.
