The two owners go the extra mile for guests. The rooms are lovely and clean, and breakfast was above five stars. More than excellent. I'll keep booking here again and again.

Breakfast was good, but having dogs in the breakfast area felt like a health hazard. Larry also smoked in the eating area. On arrival, the welcome was poor. I was there with my adopted son, who is African, and the owner rudely told him there was no booking for him. The owners were intoxicated when I arrived. After I dropped my son off, I came back to ask about a refund. Larry, one of the owners, came out of the shower with a towel around him to speak to me. He was very drunk, shouted at me, and pointed at me. This older man was racist and extremely rude. He doesn't even greet me when he sees me in the morning.

The room we were meant to sleep in didn't lock, and the service was the worst I've had. Breakfast wasn't up to standard either. I chose an omelette, but it was prepared very carelessly. I wouldn't recommend this Lodge to anyone.

A gracious, beautiful Italian home with a hostess to match. It has eight double ensuite rooms, a magnificent garden, and a swimming pool and braai area. Graded 4-star tourism.

The room and bed were comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely marvelous. The owners were super friendly, the service was great, and the price was good too.
