It was fine for a night’s sleep, but I left underwhelmed. The place has potential, though it felt overpriced for what it is. The road nearby is busy and noisy, there was mould in the shower, the clogged showerhead wasn’t clean, and the lights flickered. They get your details through booking, then ghost the platform, so booking can’t get feedback from them and keeps emailing us.

I slept better than I have in ages, thanks to the excellent bedding and amazing bed. The room was spotless and had everything I needed, and the service was great. There’s a lovely garden, secure parking on site, and the location worked perfectly for me. A comfortable, relaxing stay, highly recommended.

We keep coming back to Old House Lodge for its spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. It’s good value, the courtyard is lovely, and our dog enjoys it too. The staff are amazing, and parking is safe. The lodge is on a fairly busy street, though, so it can get a little noisy sometimes.

The room wasn’t made up or cleaned, and the plates from the previous dinner were still there. I even had to make my own bed. I’ve stayed here before and the service was different then, so this visit was quite disappointing. The man at reception gave us a warm welcome. The food wasn’t bad and I enjoyed breakfast, but there were very limited options.

A real treasure of a place. The bed was huge and comfortable, the linen and decor were lovely, and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend it.
