The Villa Manor & Spa

Johannes, our host, paid attention to what we needed and even surprised us with a special room setup. My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the King suite at The Villa Manor. Breakfast was exceptional on both mornings. A dinner option might be worth considering, but we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

I didn't stay overnight, but I dropped off guests who had booked a Spa Weekend. On a hot January afternoon in Bela Bela, The Villa Monor and Spa looked very inviting, from the cool interior and welcome Iced Tea at check-in to the pool with its waterfall and spray. I'll definitely try to book a surprise visit for the Beer Fairy, aka "the little woman", my spouse of some 37 years!

The food was okay, but the hygiene put a damper on our three-night stay in room 3. The bathroom smelled of urine, the showers weren't clean, and the walls were dirty. The so-called family room had almost no toilet privacy. Its small wardrobe-like door wouldn't close, so from the bathroom you were effectively in the passage where the kids were. On the second morning, I watched the cleaner use the toilet cloth on the basin. The place could be beautiful if the owner had someone checking the cleaning properly. I didn't enjoy my stay because of the hygiene. The photos below show what the bathroom looked like when we checked in.

The three-bedroom apartment has potential, but all three rooms had bed bugs. My colleagues and I slept badly and had rashes and itching for two days. We had to get our belongings washed at a laundromat.
