The general staff were lovely, but we had such an awful stay that we cut our trip short and left a day early. There were roaches and noise on both nights, water and electricity problems, old linen, and filthy kettles. The rooms look lovely in the pictures online, but those images are very deceiving and must be years old. I’d definitely give this place a miss.

From the first day, everything felt disorganized at this guest house in Bloemfontein. I booked individual rooms, then found out on arrival that I’d be expected to share a bathroom. When I refused, I was treated like I was being difficult. Guests’ priorities don’t seem to matter; they shift people between rooms to fit in more guests and make more profit, despite the inconvenience. Toilets were flooded and rooms smelled. My belongings were moved to other rooms while I wasn’t there, and some items were broken. I also had to keep asking for the air-conditioned remotes, and, by coincidence, the aircons were being serviced during my stay. The sister guest house is Chic Breeze. This is the most unprofessional guest house in Bloemfontein, and I would NOT recommend booking here, privately or for business.
