Endless Vineyards Boutique Lodge

The cottages were in great condition and had everything needed for self-catering. They’re near one another, but there’s still enough privacy. Breakfast was exceptional, with cold items laid out to share and hot dishes plated from the menu. The kids loved running around the lawns. It wasn’t hot enough for us to use the pool, but we’ll be back. You can hear some traffic from the N2 when outside.

My husband and I came for one Saturday night at Endless Vineyards Boutique Lodge, and the peace and quiet made it a perfect quick romantic break. The service was amazing, and we really appreciated the attention to detail. We also loved dinner and breakfast at Forage restaurant, where our waitress was wonderful.

The mountain bike trails, good food, cozy cottage, and really friendly staff made for a great farm stay. Thanks to Emma and her team for making it such a good one. We’ll definitely be back.

We spent two lovely nights in the cottages at Wildekrans. Ours had two bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, dining area, lounge, and an outside verandah with mountain views and a fireplace. The whole property is beautiful, and the staff were superb and very friendly. Breakfasts were very good, and we had an outstanding dinner at Forage restaurant one evening. Its two-course menu at R254 is great value for the whole meal. The restaurant serves Wildekrans wines only, so it’s handy to do a tasting before lunch or dinner and buy a bottle. There’s no corkage charge on their wines. At the tasting room, you can try all the Wildekrans wines on the front verandah, on the lawn, or inside by the fire. The tasting room also serves excellent pizzas and waterblommetjie stew, and all of this is an easy walk from the cottages. Other wineries worth visiting nearby include Paul Cluver, Beaumont, Luddite, Goedvertrouw, and Gabrielskloof. In town, Manny's restaurant does fantastic prawns and Portuguese chicken, and The Shuntin Shed is another good spot for a meal or a drink.
