We booked the whole place for two nights. Our room was clean, but old, and the mattress was terrible. The bedding and pillows need replacing: the fitted mattress protector and sheet shifted together while I slept, the blanket smelled, and the throw was peeling. We had to rinse our own cups and ask for more tea bags. The small jug of milk hadn’t been refilled by the next morning. One of the rooms had bugs. I just can’t recommend this place.

We spent two nights at this guesthouse, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The pillows were so hard we couldn’t sleep on them, and the linen felt poor quality and neither felt nor smelled fresh. We spotted several tiny cockroaches in our room on the second night. The large glass sliding door and window face the walkway to reception, so we had to keep the blinds shut to stop other guests looking straight in.

Good value for money, with comfortable rooms close to the only attraction, Caledon Hotel & Spa. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

The rooms are pretty, and it’s a lovely place for a short stay. We had some issues with cupboard space and the shower water. There wasn’t any notice that pets were on the premises, though the pets themselves were very friendly. The owner wasn’t as friendly or professional.

We were really disappointed. The atmosphere was uninviting, and the garden was in bad shape. Even the linen seemed stuck in the 60's. We had to drink wine from plastic glasses and eat off plastic plates. I wouldn’t recommend this guesthouse.
