I should have looked more closely into Bay Breeze before booking. The staff are friendly, but they’re hardly ever around. The rooms badly need renovation: the bathroom, especially the shower, was disgusting and full of mould. The stairs to the quadruple room are dangerous and should be forbidden. Blinds are broken, there are no curtains, and the TV doesn’t work. We had to pay for aircon, which is an absolute cheek, and the rooms aren’t done on weekends. It wouldn’t even meet 1* in Europe. NEVER AGAIN!!

My wife made the booking, and we only found out about the shared bathrooms after paying. It’s noisy, and other guests don’t seem to have the decency to keep it down. This should be listed as a back packers lodge, not a guest house. I definitely won’t be back.

The quiet, convenient setting and the garden’s mountain view were nice, but I was kind of disappointed with the accommodation after seeing the pictures and reviews on Agoda, where it was highly rated. It needs a lot of work, especially the plumbing and housekeeping, and it really needs important basics like new pillows.

It has a communal kitchen and a bit of a backpackers feel, though with more style and comfort. The place is a lovely little gem, clean and neat, with friendly staff. Thanks, Sterna, for the brilliant service.

There were cockroaches in my room, and the stairs were uncomfortable. I got a cold shower on the first day and the following morning. It was too spooky for me. You could hear the door 🚪 bang whenever people came in or went out, and I didn’t feel safe. Having to buy electricity for the aircon wasn’t great, and the arrangements for getting into the apartment felt unsafe to me.
