Simon’s Town is a lovely little town and a good base for exploring the peninsula and Cape Town, though you'll want to rent a car if you stay here. We wish we'd had more time at this house. It has three bedrooms and bathrooms, is clean and fully furnished, and the balcony looks out over False Bay. The owner can help with tour bookings and general information.

The view was the only good part for me. There was no cleaning service, and we were told to take out our own rubbish, then got told off for putting it in the wrong place. The bedroom and bathroom were very dated. The steps, or sholin bricks, felt dangerous, especially in the rain while carrying suitcases. The owner was always waiting when we got back. This wasn't 3-star quality.

The owner was really nice, and we had everything needed for cooking and cleaning. Our rooms were neat and clean when we arrived, and the view was lovely. We really enjoyed having privacy and would definitely return.

The location and views were great, but the shower was disappointingly small. The supposed second bedroom isn't really a bedroom, since it's open to the rest of the house and has no door.
