I had a wonderful stay here in 2016 and again in 2022. Now I can’t seem to book: the phone number doesn’t work from Australia, WhatsApp fails, and there’s no email address listed. I really want to stay again in 2026, but may have to find somewhere else.

The rooms are spacious, the pool is lovely, and you might spot some animals if you’re lucky. Makapa Lodge is in a calm setting, well placed between all the interesting spots. We stayed with our baby, and everything was ready for us, including a baby bath. Vivienne and Jimmy were very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay :)

Jimmy and Vivienne were such warm, charming hosts. We felt more like family than guests, and they made our wedding anniversary really memorable. What a beautiful property, and a lovely lodge to stay in. Thank you so much.

The scenery is beautiful, and the service was excellent. Vivienne was an outstanding, very friendly host. From arrival to departure, I loved every minute of this amazing escape from the outside world. I’ll definitely make time to come back for more peace and relaxation.
