The “Executive suite” is just a small room in the backyard, with a bathroom and kitchen equipment sitting on shelves. The pool isn't included in the fee, either. When you arrive, you're asked for a R1500 cash deposit, even though everything was paid in full up front. They show photos as proof of kitchen equipment the deposit supposedly covers, but those items aren't actually in the kitchen. Then they tell you the deposit will be forfeited if the equipment is “taken” from the room. Why?

The welcome was good, but the room was disappointing. The double bed was small, so I slept badly, and outside noise came through because it wasn't well insulated. There wasn't much privacy with the roll-up blind: it didn't block all the light, and I had to keep it closed to avoid being seen from outside. The room was so small we were stepping over our luggage. In the bathroom, there was nowhere for toiletries except the sink, and there was a moldy smell. We booked after seeing the pictures on booking, but the place didn't really look like them in person. I was quite disappointed. I still gave three stars for the good Sunset Beach location, the parking spot, and the biscuits and shampoo they provided.
