Penguins View Guesthouse

Being able to walk over to the famous penguin beach and see the penguins in their natural habitat was a highlight of our trip. The guesthouse is just a short stroll away. We also loved the breathtaking views from the property, perfect with morning coffee or while winding down at sunset. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and recharge. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area.

Boulder beach and the Cape penguins colony are within walking distance. Laundry service and a pharmacy are only a few minutes away, along with everything else you might need. We enjoyed visiting Cape Town, then taking the scenic drive back to this lovely guesthouse on the quiet edge of Simon’s Town for calm evenings.

Watching the sunrise and ocean from the room was pure bliss. This charming little hotel sits just steps from the beach, with spectacular, uninterrupted coastline views. It’s a lovely spot for a peaceful coastal break, whether you want to relax by the beach, explore the coast or just unwind and take in the scenery. Highly recommended for a memorable stay.

The whale room had everything we needed for two nights, including a side sea view, BBQ, shower and large bed. It’s a short walk to Boulders beach and the penguin viewing, and around a 20 min walk to town. The guesthouse suits a quiet, relaxed stay. If you want somewhere busier, staying closer to town would be better. There’s a pool area with an honesty bar, and beach towels are provided. Heather gave us taxi information and details about the load shedding, which didn’t affect our stay at all. The walk down to the beach is on a hill, so it may not suit anyone with walking difficulties. A beautiful stay with a lovely host. Can highly recommend.
