Appin House and Cottage

We've used Appin a couple of times. My husband previously stayed in Appin Suite, and more recently our group took Appin House. It's a big home, with three full bedrooms and a single room, plus Appin Cottage, which sleeps two. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. From the main bedroom there's a beautiful garden view, and the MES bathroom feels heavenly, opening onto a private courtyard full of greenery. Mature trees and birdlife fill the garden, with a wonderful view all the way to the sea. Inside there's a full dining room, two lounges and a wraparound patio that's great for entertaining. Roger, the host, is friendly and communicative. Essy, the housekeeper, and Ntokozo, the manager, are both so accommodating. It's an old house with plenty of charm, so don't expect ultra-modern amenities. There is power backup, though.
