The recent renovations look great, but I can't say the same for the food. We used to recommend Britannia most for good bunnies. On 05/01/2026, we went to watch the Liverpool match and get bunnies. There was no meat in the bunnies, just huge bones, the gravy was watered down, the curry tasted very gamey, and the potatoes weren't cooked properly. The butter chicken tasted like tomato puree. The food definitely wasn't worth the prices. We asked the waitress if the chefs had changed, and she said they hadn't. We also asked her to tell management we weren't happy with the food, but nobody even attended to it.

We paid R210,00 each for two mutton curries, and they were below average, hot but without flavor. The kebab itself was decent, though its chutney was undercooked. Disappointed I chose the mutton/lamb curry. This place needs to up its game, especially with prices that feel international.

A trip to Durban isn't complete without tripe and gram Dhall curry, and this is always my last stop before heading to the airport. Tasty as usual. My colleagues had a divine prawn biryani and spicy mutton bunny chow. Don't forget the mango lassi.

The hotel was convenient, with the beach and ushaka just 10 minutes away. My husband and I were happy with everything else: it's child friendly, the service and room service were professional, the staff were friendly and to the point, and breakfast was nice. The menu has loads of options. We had chicken briyani and mutton bunny chow, but I was a bit disappointed with the food. I'm from Pretoria, and people always say Durban food is the strongest. I expected more of that strong flavor.

I only went to the restaurant, where the service was good and the bunnies were the most delicious in Durban. They were melt in your mouth, and the flavors were mesmerizing. There's a wide variety of Indian cuisine, along with other choices.
