17 on 13th Guest House

We were so disappointed that this was our first and last stay. The place is poorly maintained, and we even ended up sleeping in our car because the gate opened on its own at 1pm, 2pm, and 4pm. We were worried about the car's safety. The room was filthy, with floor stains, mould on the walls, stained curtains that looked like blood, cupboard doors coming off, broken lights, and a blocked shower. It felt like a health risk. We raised the issues with the caretaker, who said she only worked there and would speak to her boss. She seemed more focused on her child than the guests and their questions. Nobody explained how anything worked, and I had to activate the room's TV subscription myself. We took lots of photos when we arrived in case the guesthouse tried to blame us for damage. A horrible experience. If we could give zero stars, we would.

I paid for my accommodation in full, but was told to leave a day before checkout because someone else had booked the whole house. They refunded me for that night, but it still felt like I was being chased out. The service was very poor. Never coming back.

At 14:00, our rooms still weren't ready because the cleaner was still busy. She was doing her laundry while we were guests, and she was rude. There was no cutlery checklist at check-in, but she accused us of missing some.

The pool gives the place a real summer feel, and the surroundings are peaceful and nice. The rooms and guest house were clean. Loved it 😀
