A clean, tranquil place with really friendly, great service. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to relax and get some fresh air.

Kobus's setup is the part that really opens your eyes. He's nearly off the grid, growing vegetables and herbs, raising carp, keeping bees, and brewing excellent whiskey. One pumpkin was about the size of a compact car. If you come with a big city attitude, all that ingenuity might make you feel very small. There are two rooms near the falls, both comfortable. One is simple but spacious and has the essentials, while the fancier one has air-con. I booked that one thinking I'd need it, but I didn't. It's a fascinating little gem.

It really felt like home away from home, such a wonderful, homely stay.
