Carna was a responsive, helpful and accommodating host. We were so taken with the views, atmosphere and history that I’d suggest staying at least two nights to take it all in. A lovely place all around. Thank you!

The host, Corna, made an already lovely visit even better. With only a few rooms, the house feels personal and intimate, and there are plenty of garden spots to unwind as well as an outdoor pool. The house and garden have a lot of history. We visited in May, during autumn, and the house could feel a little chilly then. I’d love to return in spring or summer, when the days are longer and the garden is in full bloom. If you’re visiting Franschhoek, this is the first place I’d check for availability.

We came for a one-night mini getaway and really enjoyed the peaceful property. It’s only about three minutes from Franschhoek, while still far enough from town to feel quiet. The pool area and patio are among several well-maintained places to relax, and the history of the place is clearly part of its charm. Recommended. Thanks for hosting us, Corna!

Breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were kind and thoughtful. The room, house and grounds are gorgeous, with lovely amenities and a romantic feel. It’s a really special place in a great spot in Franschhoek. I just wish we’d booked more time! I’ll definitely be back soon.
