The location is hard to beat, right in the heart of town and within walking distance of everything. We’d absolutely recommend Franschhoek Boutique Hotel, especially for the wonderful staff who made our stay feel easy and welcoming. Our room was beautiful and relaxing, with thoughtful design, a very comfortable bed and a great view. The hotel also kept our wine purchases chilled for us, a small touch that made a big difference. We arrived before check-in, but the staff kindly stored our luggage and moved it into the room once it was ready. They also arranged a later checkout because our flight was late, which we really appreciated.

For what it costs, I expected more atmosphere in the terrace and breakfast area. The furniture feels outdated, and the complimentary water is only provided on the first day. After that, it costs more than beer. To me, it has the feel of a bit of a luxury motel, and the price doesn’t match the quality. There are much nicer places in Franschoek for the same price.

We couldn’t be happier with our choice. The room had a gorgeous mountain view and was quiet and clean, while the service was friendly and really attentive. Vegan waffles at breakfast were the cherry on top. Restaurants and shops are downstairs, and Franschhoek trams are just a 10 minute walk away.

The location worked brilliantly for doing the wine tram tour, and the staff made our first wedding anniversary memorable. We stayed for three nights. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was lovely. They offered cooked options like eggs Benedict and omelettes, which you ordered the night before. Great service, and I’d recommend it.

The village centre is the highlight here, with good restaurants, shops and art galleries close by. We also had a beautiful mountain view from our room. It was quiet and spacious, with a huge, very comfortable bed. The bathroom had a nice bath and an excellent shower, and the bar fridge was adequately stocked. The welcome and staff were pleasant and friendly.
