I had coffee in the large, beautiful garden, looking at the top of the glorious George mountain above the rose bushes while Guinea Fowl wandered around the lawn. Sheer bliss. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the bathrooms are huge, with unbelievable luxury fittings, baths, and showers. This is world class accommodation that locals can afford, let alone international visitors. Well done to the owner, the property is stunning.
The accommodation was beautiful, but the booking site listed both a bathtub and a shower, and there was only a shower. There was also quite a bit of music and singing from upstairs late in the evening. It quietened down when we asked, though I wish I hadn’t had to ask.
We had a very peaceful stay at 96 Meent and would definitely recommend it. The place was neat and clean, and thanks to the owners for fitting us in at the last minute because of the level 9 warning!
For our one night, everything was clean, modern, and suited our needs. During loadshedding, the Wi-Fi stayed on and the outside lights were working for safety. I’ll book again next time I visit George.
The hosts were wonderfully charming, and the rooms were comfortable. It’s a very peaceful location. Thank you, Schalk and Constantine, for the hospitality. We loved our visit.
