Breakfast is available, though there’s no dinner, and there are plenty of nearby places to eat. In the room, I had a roomy bed with good linen, a work area, decent lighting, and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen came with a fridge, microwave, crockery, and utensils.

The worst B&B experience. My suitcase wheel was broken while the room was being cleaned as I was away at work, and I had to spend the next two weeks travelling with it damaged. I reported it at reception and sent photos. They said they’d get back to me, but I heard nothing. When I followed up, I was told they would talk to the cleaner and owner. The cleaner denied breaking the wheel, and the owner was nowhere to be found. Africa Beach B&B showed no concern, and I never got a response. If you stay here, apparently you need to video your suitcase every day so the owners will believe you if you say staff damaged it. Don’t visit this establishment. The owners and managers don’t believe customers who make complaints.

The staff are the reason I’d return to Africa Beach B&B. They were all amazing, and the service was wonderful. When I was desperate to leave an unwelcoming nearby guesthouse, they were flexible about my early check-in. They also kept my bag safe while I waited for a late flight. I was there for three nights for a conference. The place is very close to the beach, malls, and the university. My room had an iron, hangers, an AC/heater, coffee, and shower gel. Breakfast was good and included in the price.

The two pools were nice, and the place is an easy walk from the beach, with boardwalk mall just around the corner. Rooms are spacious, hygienic, and well equipped, though the shower pressure was a little low. Service was good, and the ladies helped when we explained what we needed for checkout. Breakfast was alright. Five stars from me.
