At Sta-Plus Guest House

We had a lovely stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful, and Mara was friendly and made us feel welcome. The area felt very safe, and the beach is an easy walk away.

For two nights there was no housekeeping. We’d been told braai facilities were available, but when I asked, I was told there was no wood, and that was that. The morning we checked out, she knocked just after 9 am and said we had to leave by 10. I’d booked for an 11 am checkout, then asked for noon when making the booking. She said she knew nothing about that, though she certainly knew we’d paid for the accommodation. The service was poor from the start. The host didn’t introduce herself, and there was no tea or coffee in the room as promised. I had to ask for those and for the Wi-Fi password listed on the site. She gave us only a few supplies, despite seeing there were three of us on the booking, and said she could provide only a limited amount of tea and coffee. We bought our own groceries, including both. If I’d known this would happen, I’d have spent my money elsewhere. This is not a suitable place to stay in Summerstrand, P.E. The service was extremely poor. I’d give them zero if I could.

Mara is lovely and made me feel right at home. A great place for a work trip or a personal stay.

The communication was very good, and there’s a pool at this awesome place. It’s close enough to walk to the beach. I’d go back anytime, again and again.
