We needed somewhere near the hospital just to sleep, so we called Gavin late at night. He managed to fit us in at very short notice, and had everything ready by the time we got there: lights on, fans running, hot water, and the accommodation fully prepared. He was warm, responsive and caring throughout, and made sure we were comfortable. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, from reliable WiFi and charging plugs to safe parking and a lovely warm shower. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable, the fans kept us cool, and the quiet garden setting made it restful. The photos accurately show the place. It’s clean, comfortable, peaceful and good value for money. If you care more about genuine hospitality and comfort than modern looks, you’ll appreciate it. We’re so grateful to Gavin for accommodating us when we needed it most.

It’s peaceful and quiet here, and I really enjoyed the stay and the conversation. Mr.Gavin, the owner, was friendly and welcoming, and looked after me throughout. I had filling breakfasts and the other meals were good too. I’d recommend this place to both leisure and business travellers. Thanks so much, take care and stay safe!

Quiet and safely tucked away, with a farmhouse feel. The early colonial decor and furniture make it feel like a time capsule, set among fynbos vegetation. The shower works well for tall people, while the shorter members of our society can use the corner bath. The bed and mattress were extremely comfortable, antique furniture notwithstanding. It may not suit everyone, but for us it was a warm adventure. The place was pleasant and had all the essentials. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, took last-minute bookings, and kept things clean. The WiFi was the best we’ve experienced, fast and reliable. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

I was in PE for work, and the guest house worked really well. The rooms are spacious, the WiFi was fast enough for work, and the owner made breakfast earlier for me to fit my work departure times. The place is beautiful, and I’d 100% recommend it.

They made a relaxed, lovely setting for our Zoom wedding, and went above and beyond to make the day special. They also arranged a beautiful honeymoon suite with breakfast. It was an amazing wedding venue, and I’d definitely recommend it for good service and a nice atmosphere.
