The Humewood Hotel

The service was extremely bad, and I had an allergic reaction after being served the wrong curry. I ordered lamb curry with naan, while my partner ordered butter chicken with naan and someone else at our table ordered prawn curry with rice. After about 20 minutes, the waitress brought the butter chicken and naan, plus another plate with naan. She only identified the butter chicken, so I assumed the other plate was mine and she set it in front of me. I'm allergic to prawns. When she returned and said she was bringing the lamb curry, I stopped eating. She then explained the prawn curry was supposed to come with rice. I told her about the allergy. They took the food away and said sorry. I started itching, but carried on with the evening, thinking that would be the last bad thing. My cool drink arrived 10 minutes after I finished eating. At half past 8, we were told the kitchen would close at 9 and we had to order dessert before then. We ordered three waffles and ice creams. Something to 9, the last person's meal reached the table. At half past 9, the waiter told us we couldn't order what we had planned because the kitchen was closed, and apologized for the inconvenience. We asked for the bill, which came at ten minutes to 10. We were one of three tables in the sushi section, and the inexperienced waiters kept coming over to ask if we'd ordered food that belonged to other tables. The waiter didn't even report my allergic reaction to her manager. That's pathetic service.

We chose this hotel because it said no alcohol, but the environment and experience didn't match what was promised. We had booked a family room for two nights and left after just the first night because the service was disappointing, our requests weren't handled properly, and the stay didn't meet basic expectations. It wasn't worth the price, and I wouldn't recommend it for families or individuals.

At The Humewood Hotel, the relaxed yet classy atmosphere and clean, well-maintained venue made for a great experience. The service was warm and professional, and the staff went out of their way to make everything seamless. A top choice in PE, highly recommended!

I expected a clean room with clean towels after checking in, but one towel had been folded and left there despite being so dirty. I had a family room, and neither of its two air-cons worked. The room got extremely hot, making it hard to sleep or get a good night's rest.
