Gannet Place Guest House

The staff were lovely and welcoming, and they can help plan a trip to Kruger Park. It’s within driving distance of the park. The amenities aren’t new, but they work well enough, and the hospitality was good.

The bathroom floors were flooded and slippery, the towels were old, and the chairs were dirty and broken. The rooms had only a small window in the corner, so they felt stuffy and hot at night. The aircon didn’t help much. The swimming pool was green, with no creepy crawly. Staff put in some chemical and said it would be fine. From the adverts I expected a nice place, but it didn’t feel suitable for holidaymakers. Staff on duty weren’t allowed to call the owner. If you value yourself, you may not want to bring your family to Gannet Place Hazyview.

When I visited with friends a year ago, the pool was clean, the place was quiet, and the receptionist was very friendly. I came back with colleagues on the 09th of december 2023. The staff were still friendly and helped us well, but the pool wasn’t clean, even after I called and asked them to clean it. The trees around it make it very dirty. Still, it’s a great spot to chill, braai and swim with friends, or family 💯🙏

The manager was professional and helpful, and the service was excellent. The rooms are spacious, and the braai area is conveniently placed. The pool and bar area were neat and well kept.
