We stayed in unit 245, where the rooms were large and the beds comfortable. All the amenities worked well and were what you’d expect. My family and I enjoyed the walkway out to the rocks, watching the waves and sunset. There’s a pool, putt putt, tennis, and basketball, and the area felt safe. We had no issues with the local self-built settlement. Whale Coast Mall is very close, as is the cliff walk hiking area. We’ll be back in the near future.

The facilities are well kept, and the modern bathrooms were spotless, which made the visit more comfortable. The ocean views are breathtaking, and seeing whales so often made the experience memorable. It’s a bit off the main route, but the place still feels safe and welcoming.

Families and couples looking for a quiet getaway with plenty to do and great views would likely enjoy Hermanus Beach Club. The grounds are well maintained, and the coastal air makes it a peaceful break from city life. There are ocean views from the units, waves to listen to, private beach access, and scenic coastal walking trails. There’s lots for active guests, including several swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, mini-golf, and a fitness center. Children have a games room and a well-kept playground, and the enclosed grounds feel safe. The complex is clean, with an on-site shop and bar, plus communal braai (BBQ) areas that make a holiday more convenient.

It’s within easy walking distance of the beach, with breathtaking views. The gates have security control, and there’s private parking. The place is kept clean and has lots for kids, including a playground, tennis courts, mini golf, pad pad, and more. We spent a few days and nights at the beach club and had a top-notch stay. It has a real family atmosphere all year round. I’ll go again.

The accommodation is lovely, though a little smaller than I expected. One thing to know is that there’s an informal settlement opposite it. Kids play on the road, so you have to be careful not to drive too fast. Safety worries me there, with the possibility of hijacking, things left on the road, or bricks being thrown at cars. Keep that in mind if you’re travelling there or thinking of booking. On the way to the accommodation entrance, there’s also a factory where Abolone is farmed.
