Auberge Burgundy Guest House

Mikaela was such a warm, friendly receptionist and helped us throughout our two-night visit, with plenty of local suggestions and even a whale cruise booking that we thoroughly enjoyed. We hadn’t known the hotel’s history until she told us it had been the mayor’s house, which really intrigued us. Auberge Burgundy is right by the seafront and just a short walk from town. Our room was spacious and charmingly decorated. We appreciated the hot water bottles from the night attendant, and breakfast at France’s cafe next door was fantastic. We also enjoyed the lounge and complimentary port by the fire. Thanks to Mikaela and the whole staff for a memorable stay. We hope to return.

The room and ambiance were lovely, and everyone was outstanding, from reception and Duty Management to the cleaning staff, David and the restaurant. We had a delightful one-night stay at Auberges Burgundy. Reception welcomed us warmly, helped us get into the secure basement parking and showed us to our lovely rooms. The decor felt fresh. We stayed in room 15 with two single beds and room 1 with one Giant double bed. Complimentary coffee, fresh milk and water were in the room, while minibar items were charged. I booked a spa treatment and Yvonne gave me one of the best back, neck and shoulder massages I’ve had. The boutique hotel is right on the seafront, within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars. Breakfast on our departure morning included both continental options and cooked dishes, and the chef handled our fussy requests superbly. We left a charger behind, but they called within minutes and we went back to collect it, saving us extra hassle and expense. We’ll definitely come back.

The front desk staff were warm, friendly and so helpful, making check-in and local recommendations easy. The location also made it simple to explore the surrounding area. We had a wonderful September stay at Auberge Burgundy. Our room was thoughtfully decorated with high-quality design, and felt both elegant and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent too. We’d happily stay here again.
