Teresa and her team made our two nights in Hermanus a real highlight of our 18-day trip through Cape Town, the Garden Route and Addo Elephant National Park. She welcomed us right away, was always available, and shared lots about local life and South African culture. The personal care made a big difference. The guesthouse is in a quiet, very safe part of town, a short walk from the Hermanus Cliff Path. Our room was spacious and beautifully kept, with beds more comfortable than those in many five-star hotels we’d stayed at. Breakfast was outstanding, with fresh fruit salad and plenty of delicious choices that matched, or even beat, luxury stays. We also loved the common areas. The open living room by the pool, with books and games, felt relaxed and welcoming. It was easy to enjoy privacy as a couple or chat with other travelers. We expected it to be lovely from the photos, but it was even more special. Two nights wasn’t enough, three or four would have been perfect. If we return to Hermanus, this is where we’ll stay. Highly recommended.

Our group had a great time at Bamboo Guest House. The dinner was absolutely delicious, one of the best meals of our trip. We found the atmosphere cozy and welcoming, and the rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable for relaxing after a day in Hermanus. Highly recommend it for a visit to Hermanus.

The rooms were spacious and comfy, and we loved the delicious breakfast. Teressa and the whole crew made sure our stay felt peaceful and relaxed. It really felt like home, with a lot of care put into making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. There were lovely breakfasts, a great pool area, and lounges where you could relax. It’s an easy walk to town and the cliffside walk, with more than enough parking. The golf club is very close, too.

We loved how close the guesthouse was to some beautiful beaches, and the mountain views from our bedroom balcony were exceptional. The bamboo in the decor really impressed me, and the rooms were so comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the place felt like an oasis where we could completely relax. Theresa is an amazing hostess, and she and her wonderful team made us feel so special. They went the extra mile to make us comfortable, always with the biggest smiles. Breakfast was a treat every day. We were very sad to leave, but we’ll definitely be back.
