The booking and the owner clearly weren't coordinated. We reserved a one-night stay through bookings.com, which showed it as available, but after arriving at 2 pm we waited half an hour before being told that bookings.com doesn't allow one-night stays and that other people were already in the place. The lady sent us all the way to Club Marina in Ifafa Beach instead. That place was filthy, with toothpicks on the bed, and the neighbors watched everything we did. We'd traveled all the way from Kwadukuza and felt desperate, but ten minutes into the stay we found a snake on the bed. The owner said it was harmless and not her fault. She was very unprofessional, and her whole family came in. She then offered us a third house next door, but there was no way we were staying there. We ended up traveling all the way back at 6 pm. I wouldn't recommend this place. Bookings.com shouldn't do business with people like this.

The views were amazing, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. We especially liked having a dishwasher, and it was a bonus that we could bring our inside cat, who takes medication every day. There was no water because of repairs along the line, apparently, so we used the Jojo tank. Booking was effortless, though sorting out the keys and gate remote felt a bit disjointed and unsettling before it all worked out. Easy access to the beach and shops, and a wonderful long weekend.

Last year, my husband, my brother-in-law, his wife, and I decided to take our four dogs to the beach for Christmas. Finding a place within our budget for four adults and four dogs was a tall order, so we booked months ahead. Bona Manzi canceled our booking just one week before we were due to leave, without a reasonable explanation. How had they only just realized there was no availability? The host left us in a very difficult position. I still haven't received the deposit I paid in August 2022.

We paid in full for a weekend away and arrived at the gates at 18:20, within the stated check-in window of 14:00 to 19:00. The owner never answered despite many calls, and Lekker Slaap couldn't reach her either. Lekker Slaap helped us find somewhere else to stay. She was supposed to meet guests who had paid and hand over the keys as arranged. She has never returned our calls or even tried to ask why we didn't arrive at Bona Manzi. The area isn't very good either. Thank you, Yolanda, for the awful service.
