We were 10 ladies staying the weekend of 24-26/11/2023, and splitting our booking between upstairs and downstairs made things more fun and convenient. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, and one upstairs room has a jacuzzi. We had a lovely weekend together. The power kept going off, and we were told there was a fault somewhere in the area. During the daytime load shedding, they didn't turn on the generator, at least while we were there. On Sunday, the power was off from 08am until our 10am checkout. It would help if checkout could be extended when load shedding affects the stay.

The Quarry has shops just around the corner, including spar, woolies, clicks, etc. The spot itself is beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to relax. We had an amazing time. The booking website mentions a jacuzzi, but there isn't one. There is load shedding in the area, and you need to ask them to switch on the generator, which only lasts for 1 hour. Still, it's really a great place.

We stayed from 1st April to 3rd April, and although the accommodation was perfect, I wouldn't recommend it for a family looking for a quiet break. The upstairs guests partied both nights, with very loud music and shouting, and seemed to be drinking the whole time. The noise carried on into the early morning, so neither we nor the grandchildren could sleep. Staff couldn't get the parties under control. We were told to press the security alarm, but that didn't help. We also asked the guests twice to turn the music down, and they said they were allowed to make that much noise.
