The beds were comfortable and our room was clean. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast the next morning, too. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

Hosts Mike Rene made me feel welcome, almost like I was part of their home. I was lucky to spend a night at The Old Trading Post. It’s a relaxed, peaceful spot, while still close enough to Wilderness Village.

Beautiful surroundings, plenty to do, and a lovely place to rest and enjoy nature. Best of all, they welcome pets. I loved the whole stay, and the host and hostess were kind, helpful and friendly. The pizzas were wonderful, too.

Renee and hubby put so much effort into breakfast, even just for the two of us. It was a spread to die for, and the homemade pizzas were delicious. They’re fantastic hosts. We’ll definitely see you again 🤗

We stopped twice at The Old Trading Post for one night while travelling between Cape Town and the Pure Nature Lodge in Paterson. We enjoyed both stays, and by the time we headed back to Cape Town it already felt like coming home :-) The pizza dinner was outstanding, truly the best we’ve ever had. Next time we’ll try to stay longer and do more activities in Wilderness.
