The rooms were neat and the staff friendly and helpful. They also made special vegetarian meals when asked. Breakfast was a standard English breakfast. The pool was out of order, and the pool table was defective and couldn’t be used.

This guesthouse gave me the worst two days of my life. The owner showed no respect for customers and prepared food with about 10 cats around. She picked them up while making a meal for us, then they stared at us while we ate. Who says we all like Pat's? These hairy Pat's are a danger to anyone's health. I wondered if it was because I was black, since she told me to go to the hotel if I had a problem with her rules. There’s a lot more, but I’ll stop here for now. I wouldn’t recommend the place.

Clean, nice place and good service. The water takes forever to come out of the taps, though, and having a microwave in the room would be great.
