Oase by 7 Star Lodges - Greater Kruger Private 530ha Reserve

The best part for me, along with the comfortable, clean rooms, was that every meal at OASE by 7 Star Lodges came with a different dining spot. We chose the largest option, the 3 bedroom Rosewood villa, and had one of our best travel experiences. Liz and the team gave us thoughtful, personal service throughout. They tailored our itinerary to the request we sent through the intake form, and the small touches made everything feel personal. There was a game room, several bars, and a cinema with reclining seats for 12 people. We loved how quiet and private the place felt, tucked away in nature. It was a lovely escape from the usual lodge routine and fixed schedules. No two itineraries at OASE have to be the same. They filled ours with activities and memorable wildlife moments, but you can also ask for a more relaxed plan. If you want a luxurious, intimate safari, this is a great choice. The booking site photos were accurate, and what you see is what you get. Highly recommended.

Surprise took us to Kruger and helped us spot four of the Big Five. Jakes led a nature walk around the property, hoping to find their leopard. We didn't see it, but I learned a lot. We also did the treetop experience, which was so romantic, and the food was amazing. I appreciated the laundry service far more than I expected. My husband and I came for our honeymoon, and everyone was kind and wonderful. Liz-Mari made anything we wanted to do happen, and Njabulo looked after us so well at breakfast and dinner. What an amazing experience, one of the best of my life.

The guided activities were a highlight, and the staff really cared about making sure every guest had a good time. The grounds were lovely and well kept, with great spaces to relax outside. Our room was spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated, a lovely place to unwind and listen to the sounds of nature. Every meal was fresh, full of flavor and nicely presented. From check-in through to saying goodbye, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The welcome was warm and genuine, and we felt at home right away. The lodge exceeded our expectations, with a beautiful setting and peaceful atmosphere. We can't wait to return.

Octavia, our butler, was a real gem. She organized activities, arranged picnics and looked after us at meals, always with wonderful personal service. Janus and Liz from management made sure everything went smoothly, Chef Aron led a great kitchen team, and Njabulo cared for us at many meals. Our guides, Jakes and Surprise, also made us feel completely looked after. We were a family of five, two adults and three teens, visiting Oase over Christmas. We debated whether to book three, four or five nights, chose five and then didn't want to leave. We had two great drives into Kruger with Surprise and saw the Big Five along with many other amazing animals. The restaurants and accommodation were lovely, and the three-bedroom Rosewood suite was perfect for us. The cinema and cooking classes were nice extras. David and Audra have a wonderful property, and I hope we can visit again.
