Breakfast was decent, and our hosts were very friendly. The bed was okay, too, but the upstairs room hadn’t been cleaned properly and had an unpleasant smell. The bathroom had carpet, which didn’t feel very hygienic. For what we got, the price was simply too high.

Linken and Graeme were really friendly, likeable hosts, and breakfast was very good, just as this B n B is known for. We were welcomed warmly, and the clean room had a comfortable bed and everything we needed for one night. The bathroom was next to the bedroom, so its curtain instead of a door was manageable for us as a couple, though it wasn’t ideal. The hosts said they know the bathrooms need a face-lift, so hopefully that happens soon.

That big bathtub in the upstairs cottage is such a treat. I’m in the area for work, and the place is a perfect base to call home. The room also has Wi-Fi and all the practical things I need: a desk, hanging cupboard space, a bar fridge/freezer, luggage rack, and plenty of double adopters in case I forget one for my phone. My double bed was super comfy, with soft linen and puffy pillows.

The hosts were friendly, breakfast was good, and everything was clean. But the accommodation opens off their lounge, so it doesn’t feel private at all. There’s no TV or fridge in the room, and I had to walk between them and the TV to get things from the car or the fridge.

We were lucky to get a last minute booking for the Midmar Mile swimming event and were very happy with the stay. The hosts were gracious, and it’s a lovely place to spend a few nights. We’ll keep coming back.
