Hotel Galaxy Tower

This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. There was no room service, the service was very bad, and the guests weren’t treated nicely. There were cockroaches in the room and Chappies that's eaten on the walls. The bed sheets weren’t clean, and the bathrooms were half broken. You’d be better off sleeping in your car. It was very, VERY bad. Could someone please call the health department to inspect the place? IT HAS TO BE CLOSED ASAP!!!

The only redeeming part of my multi-night stay at Galaxy Tower was the kind, dedicated cleaning team. Everyone else I asked for help with the air conditioning or internet seemed apathetic and unwilling to deal with it. The air conditioning kept failing, leaving the room too hot for comfortable sleep, and the refrigerator barely kept anything cool. The internet dropped out every 1-2 hours and then stopped working entirely for three consecutive days, making even email and activity planning impossible. Several rooms had peeling wallpaper, and the whole hotel looked run down, far below what I expected for the price. When I asked for a late check-out, they demanded the full nightly rate, an inflexible response given all the problems. I can’t recommend Galaxy Tower. The neglected facilities, unreliable amenities, and unresponsive management made it a waste of money. Guests would be better off looking elsewhere.

Alhamdulillah, I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast is available from 6 to 10 in the morning, though it isn’t included in the package. For an extra R75, you can choose from different menus. I’d ask the owners to put mats and sprays in the toilets for convenience. Otherwise, 10/10. Thanks.

3.5 stars. We had a pleasant stay, and the room was clean with a nice shower and all the basic amenities. The AC wasn’t working, one window latch was broken, and I had trouble opening and closing the curtains.
